b) Utilizing Patterns for Song Accompaniment
Example "The Boxer"

 
The last example in the previous section (Boxer roll) can quite easily be developed into an accompaniment of the famous Simon & Garfunkel song "The Boxer". I wrote down the way I use to play the song, leaving out very little enhancements I also try to play, in order to keep it simple. The following example may not be absolutely original, but it shows how picking can be utilized to get a song accompaniment.
